Kingston

We know the song is probably talking about the Kingston in Jamaica, but we can't help counting Michael's hometown in Tennessee as our Kingston. We're indellibly tied to this small town. Michael's parents still live there. We took our engagement pictures at Fort Southwest Point. No matter how far we go, it seems we keep coming back.

Kingston is the county seat of Roane County and is one of the oldest communities in Tennessee and was the site of an early federal fort, Fort Southwest Point. In 1807, Kingston was the capital of Tennessee for one day as fulfillment of a treaty provision between the United States and the Cherokee. Kingston is also the site of one of Tennessee's remaining antebellum courthouses.
